FlightDose, around the world.
A glimpse of the journeys entered into FlightDose, connecting airports across the planet.
Building the flight atlas…
What the globe shows
Each arc joins two airports that FlightDose users have entered, drawn as the great circle between them: the shortest path over the Earth, not the track a flight actually flew. Every arc is drawn the same way, however often the route was flown.
Many arcs bow towards the poles, because a great circle between two mid-latitude airports runs further from the equator than either end. That matters for the dose: Earth's magnetic field shields the tropics best and the polar regions least. In August 2026 at 35,000 ft, the dose rate averaged 4.1 µSv/h at 50°N against 1.7 µSv/h over the equator. See it on the dose-rate map, or the dose on popular routes.
The atlas holds airport pairs only: no names, dates, flight numbers or doses.
Put your own flights on the globe
FlightDose Premium draws every flight you've logged on a 3D globe over this month's dose-rate layer, each one shaded where its dose built up.
FlightDose calculates your exact flight.
